Social Responsibility

NIC is dedicated to fulfilling its responsibilities towards employees, the community, and the environment, in alignment with the “New Kuwait 2035” vision and the Sustainable Development Goals. The company strives for sustainability by embedding social responsibility within its mission an d values to ensure a positive societal impact and minimize environmental impact.

NIC collaborates with local and international organizations to support education, community, and environmental initiatives. It also works to raise employee awareness of the importance of social responsibility, thereby enhancing performance and achieving sustainability goals.

Regarding Environment Responsibility, NIC has obtained the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification for its white Blocks, Interlock tiles, and Glue Mortar products. This international standard reflects NIC’s commitment to reducing the environmental footprint of its products and services, making it one of the pioneering companies in this achievement.

 

In line with its commitment to its human resources, the company has implemented various activities, such as:
An Umrah trip to the sacred sites of Mecca and Medina, with 45 employees taking part in this annual social activity. The Islam Awareness Committee was also invited to educate employees on the Umrah rituals, catering to both Arabic and non-Arabic speakers. Additionally, National Industries Company continued its annual tradition of providing Iftar and Suhoor meals for all employees in its factories in Subaiyya, Mina Abdullah, and Shuwaikh during Ramadan.
The company organized football tournaments under the National Industries Cup for its employees, aiming to build stronger relationships between staff, showcase creativity across various departments, and nurture a spirit of teamwork and healthy competition.

 

In terms of community engagement, the company undertook various activities, including:

 

Organizing training for students from the Construction Institute of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training through a field visit to the company’s factories and sponsoring graduation projects for students from Kuwait University.
Renovating and decorating school walls with the Kuwaiti flag using products from the paint factory, aligned with the national holidays.
Supplying schools with traffic barriers to ensure the safety of students from traffic dangers.
Designing and creating a Flag Square at the Hawally Educational Area, including a fully constructed platform with a flagpole made of concrete pipes and interlocking tiles painted with the company’s paint.

 

Sponsoring the KIU Tour program led by the Kuwait Industries Union, in cooperation with Visit Kuwait and Ghalia Company, to highlight the production lines of the company.
